Le photographe australien Frank Hurley (1885-1962) a ramené de nombreuses photographies de l'expédition scientifique du Discovery. Quelques unes d'entres elles ont été prise au cours de l'escale dans la Baie Américaine entre les 2 et 4 novembre 1929.
